Rancid's drummer, Branden Steineckert, is a big Real Salt Lake fan. Yes, that Rancid.
Don't think the fans would enjoy the mohawks, though. They'd get in the way of the sight lines! Ha, you thought I was going to make a crack on SLC. Anyway, here are some equally incongruous matches I'd love to see:
Bow Wow for Columbus Crew
Dave Chappelle for DC United
Renee Zellweger for Houston Dynamo
Burt Bacharach for Kansas City Wizards
It's about time MLS got some celebrity fans besides at Galaxy games, so props to you, Mr. Steineckert. Got an idea for a celebrity fan you'd love to see? Leave it in the comments.

US Open Final
DC United won their first trophy in four years as they outclassed Charleston Battery 2-1 in front of very enthusiastic fans at RFK Stadium. Luciano Emilio scored the opening goal in the fifth minute but immediately came out as he pulled a groin muscle. Ian Fuller struck back five minutes later and Charleston appeared to take control of the game but lacked the finishing punch for much of the night. Fred scored the winning goal in the 50th minute but I think United could have added at least one more. The finishing on both sides was lacking but United's possession in midfield proved to be the difference.
During the victory celebration, Bryan Namoff's medal fell off its ribbon. Leave your punchline in the comments.

It's like my junior year of college
Watch the US Open Cup final tonight between DC United and Charleston. If anything else you'll get to watch the losing team drink beer out of a coffee pot. [The Offside]
